Kori Guy - My name is Kori Guy, this will be my tenth year teaching second grade at GWA. I have a Masters in Educational Leadership. I was born and raised in Vegas, where I taught fourth and first grade for ten years. When I married my husband, Mark, we moved to Santa Clarita, California and I taught fourth and sixth grade for five years. We moved to St. George so we could be closer to our family cabin on Cedar Mountain and build our dream home. We love it here! My oldest daughter will be entering eighth grade and I also have an eight year-old. I am looking forward to great year.

Katherine LeBaron - Hello, I'm Katherine LeBaron. This will be my sixth year teaching 2nd grade at George Washington Academy. I have a love and passion for the rigorous curriculum here. I graduated in May 2013 from the education program at Dixie State University. Before moving to Saint George my husband and I lived in Salt Lake City for several years. We decided on a new path for our lives and moved to beautiful Dixie about 9 years ago. We have one sweet six-year old son, Marcus, who keeps us on our toes and started 1st grade this year! We are expecting another boy who is due October 1st this year. We love hiking and camping together in the outdoors. Some of my personal talents include singing, photography, and playing volleyball. I have a passion for many different hobbies and enjoy instilling a love for trying new things in my students.

Jaycee Draper - My name is Jaycee Rogers and this is my third year at GWA. My first year here I had the incredible opportunity of being a SEE Student in third grade with Mrs. Kari McCoy. Through that experience, I was able to be in the classroom teaching every day for a whole school year while finishing up my senior year in my bachelor's program. I graduated May 2016 from Dixie State University. I am currently working on my master's degree in curriculum and instructional design! This is my third year in second grade, and I am loving it! Education is my passion and I truly believe it is the key to success in life. I hope to spread my enthusiasm for education and learning to each of my students!

Deborah McArthur - I am super excited to be teaching here at GWA this year. I taught first and third grade in the beautiful island of Oahu for five years and then was a long-term sub at Heritage Elementary here in St. George. I have four wonderful children. My oldest is graduating with his bachelor's degree in October so sadly I'll have to return to Hawaii for his graduation ;) I also have two sons who work as electricians and a beautiful daughter who is a senior at Dixie High. One of my favorite things to do is to walk with and play catch with my energetic dogs Sadie and Penny. I love getting to know your children and have been so impressed with the caliber of families that I've found here at GWA. My goal is to instill in my students the love for learning that I have found to be one of the greatest joys in life.
